![]() ![]() Where it was familiar and why he suddenly recognised that scent was lost on him. Not stronger as one might have thought but instead it became one that he found familiar. As the tea brewed though, Kevin slowly started to sniff at it again, face slowly spreading into a pleased smile as the scent grew better and better. At first, he recoiled from the scent it was far too similar to one of those air fresheners that you would hang up in your car or spray around the room liberally. Kevin took a deep sniff of the liquid as it started to brew, getting a mix of something floral and something akin to pine needles. The scent was indescribable, rather fitting since there was no such thing as Almatian Pine Needles in this reality. But then he noticed something encasing a few of the needles, separating them out from a few others. Seeing that the leaves.no wait.needles were loose and free would mean it would take a while for him to fish them out of the boiling water. Seeing that there was only one way this was going to end, Kevin gently (and ever so gentle as he could) pulled the lid apart, exposing the loose tea within. Or at the very least the resin that was gluing it down. ![]() It looked like he had to break into the box. There was no seam on the lid that looked like it had been taped down, only just a small flap that was stuck with some gold coloured resin. Kevin paused for a moment, hearing the kettle start to heat up water inside of it boiling and thrashing about. Sure, he would drink the tea but the box was amazing to just stare at. ‘I wonder what this tastes like’ he thought, turning the box of tea over a few times before looking at the lid, wondering if he had to tear it off and ruin the box or if he could try and keep it in as good of a condition as he could manage. So that was why he was standing in his kitchen, watching as the kettle kicked into action. “What’s Almatian Needle Blend?” he asked, looking at his boss. It was nestled next to the Chamomile, boxed in an elegant gold container with what Ko could only describe as having some sort of deer motif. Spearmint, Ginseng, Darjeeling.then one that Ko hadn’t heard of before. “Reminds me too much of a guy ye will probably meet…” he commented, letting Ko get on with the list. “Uh.okay.Earl Grey…” he started, hearing Al groan. The youth sighed, trying not to show a bit of attitude before he looked at the boxes on the shelf. Had he been played for a fool? Maybe so, but still Al wanted him to look at the stuff that he never drank and probably have to read out the types they had there. “Nah, could ye see what teas we have fer sale?” If he could, Ko would have facepalmed hard at that moment. God damn it was still creepy that Al knew that someone was about to walk in. Ko was about to head towards the tea section before Al called for him. He had no idea why the hell a strange green circlet with a heart on the front of it would be that dangerous it would be an ‘S’. One of the things he was about to casually pick up and look at to see what it was had a little ‘S’ next to it. “‘Ey! Make sure ye don’t touch any of the A or S items!” Ko froze as he looked at where his hand was going. I ain’t gonna be interested in anythin’ that ain’t on the sweet side.” Al quipped back, sipping again as he watched Ko wander around. ![]() Al sipped his hot chocolate, smiling wide as the decadent taste washed over him. He had no reason for why he put the light things on the bottom shelf or the heaviest on the top the consumables next to the perishables, the jewels next to the really tacky items that could have come from a garbage dump. Al had told him to have a look around, get used to where things were placed and why they were placed there. ![]() “Hot chocolate again?” Ko asked, huffing to himself as he walked around the store, scanning his eyes over the items that were on sale. ![]()
