![]() While the idea itself is great, its execution is very lame. Additionally, any camera shots showing a blow are irritating. You can see blurred textures and huge problems with animations. ![]() Graphically, the stadium is very nice, densely covered with grass, but it keeps spraying when the camera zooms in. At first glance, it looks quite interesting. ![]() The main goal of the game is to reach at least one hero to the end of the field, while effectively blocking players from the opposing team. In addition, the camera can be zoomed in and out quite freely, which makes it easier to orientate yourself in the situation. We plan our moves, where we can make moves with specific units within a designated field, make dodges, and react to random events with a die roll (such as an enemy’s surprise attack). The assumption is that we get a full rugby team that faces an army of orcs or dwarves. We start the game with a short tutorial, which in my case, unfortunately, did not explain all the bothering issues. The sports rules were implemented as an add-on, and while finding a way to break the defense is fundamental, this mechanism could be much more developed. And here it’s all about throwing the dice and competition between units. After the first trailers of Blood Bowl 3, I was hoping that the gameplay would be much faster, and the way of playing rugby would be a bit more emphasized. I know rugby and I know what it is all about. I am a big sports fan and although I like football and basketball the most, I can also watch volleyball, handball, ski jumping or track and field competitions with bated breath. Bloody games of brutal rugby decorated with tactical and strategic assumptions are the foundation of this series (based on the Warhammer board game). I was hoping that Blood Bowl would absorb me in a similar way. Personally, I remember the Dawn of War series very well, with which I spent long hours. There were better and worse titles, but usually they kept some reasonable level. Blood Bowl 3 is a turn-based strategy with a sports atmosphere, where our goal is to skillfully break through the opponent’s defenseĮvery fan of the Warhammer universe is aware of the huge number of different games set in the “Mortal World”. ![]() The game looks as if the publisher presented an ultimatum to Cyanide Studio that they simply go to the stores with what they already have, because the work takes far too long (after all, beta tests were carried out in 2020!). What I saw completely knocked me off my feet, and unfortunately in a negative sense. I have to admit that I spent a lot of time with the two, I had fun, I got into the duel and tactical assumptions, so I turned on the third installment on PlayStation 5 with great pleasure. ![]() I didn’t have the pleasure of playing the previous installments before, but wanting to be completely objective, I made up for it and launched Blood Bowl 2 before playing the sequels. Unfortunately, loyal fans of the Warhammer universe who want to play a few skirmishes in this tactical strategy will have to be patient until the developers release the appropriate updates.īlood Bowl 3 officially debuted on February 23 this year, but Roger gave me the key to the review, I did not expect that I would spend the next several hours with such a tiring title. It’s a boring position, devoid of imaginativeness, looking as if it was published too early. I have to admit that it’s been a long time since I’ve been so tired of reviewing a game like Blood Bowl 3. ![]()
